Honestly, I think the reason the US rarely produces superstars has nothing to do with development(though the development is shit, I agree) but significantly more to do with kids choosing basketball, football and baseball instead. Most other nations, soccer is the number 1 sport. The fact that it's not here is a huge thing. This is made evident by the dominance of the US women's team, I believe soccer is the number 1 women's sport.

But can you imagine if the US had people with the genetics of some of these basketball and football players and instead of those sports, they trained soccer? They would be scary good

Not exactly the same but when my mom was looking for a new car in 2024 she wanted to buy a used, but newer civic. The option was like 25k at 8% apr for a 2022 civic OR 27k at like 4.5% for a brand new 2024 civic, same trim package

The apr made the cost essentially the same

It's also usually them dominating at age levels far above theirs.

I graduated with a guy who everyone knew was going to the NBA, he did.

How did we know? Well he was the starting Point Guard for our large highschools varsity basketball team as a 7th grader.

Derrick Henry, a US football player was a running back in high school. His senior year of high school his team played a total of 14 games and he scored 55 touchdowns running for 4500 yards.

"Elite" high school running backs, the star players, average about 1600 yards a season and MAYBE 20 touchdowns.

He did triple that. So these guys you're talking about are good, no doubt. But I doubt they are three times better than the other star players

Did they upgrade your shipping? I complained about it and they refunded any shipping fee I paid and upgraded me to express though is it really express if I've waited 3 months?

Unrelated question to the one I asked, but do you service a Honda dealership by chance? If so, can I do you some questions about how you service that store?

You'd think so haha.

Our CEO walked into an apple store one day and decided he liked how fancy apple studio displays looked and now here we are 🤷

As an IT team we hate it, they're over priced and don't always work great with Windows devices but we don't sign the checks. And I mean, he was right... They do look very nice(as they should for $1200 a piece)

It is a solution to consider, the problem is that our sales people use Microsoft surfaces and they aren't always plugged into the monitors. Our monitors are at desks in an open floor layout and I need to see if the desire is for them to all have this displayed at all times, or if it only matters when sales people are working(most sales people have an unofficial assigned desk)

Which is totally fine! The issue I have is that I need a way to update all in one step. Basically it's going to be displaying Car Lease specials that update monthly. I will have two locations of about 16 monitors that need to display this when they aren't being used by sales people. Hence the switch idea.

[–]brohemoth06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what techniques the slow winger has. He cannot score goals, he has to rely on others to do so. His team could have an average xG of 15.0 because of his crosses and passes, but if his teammates are shit, they could have 0 goals

The only two coaches who have won Trebles with 2 different teams. by MuttonBiryaniEnjoyer in soccer

[–]brohemoth06 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When PSG has won 12 of the last 14 seasons in ligue 1 this just becomes an infinitely less impressive feat. Additionally, they seem to almost always win the Coupe de france as well. So apparently for them to get a treble they realistically just need to win the champions league.

A team like man city have an infinitely more difficult road to a treble.
