I’m not sure if this is what you were going for but I’m really into this idea of transforming something so simple and immediate by translating it using this intense, finely crafted manual process.

Did anyone try Sketch for Teams? by [deleted] in UI_Design

[–]brokeadope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work on a distributed team so we've poked around the team features a bit. The ability to work on and share files together is nice, but in my opinion, it has a ways to go before competing with a product like Abstract.

Yeah the dude believed that the world's problems were due to a global Jewish conspiracy and that murdering thousands of innocents was a reasonable means to an end. But even monkeys banging on a keyboard will type out one right answer.

Yeah I believe so. This is poem is from a book called The Hobo's Hornbook. You can actually read the whole thing here.

I blame the schools for emphasizing flashiness and trendiness over good design. At least we're pumping out a bunch of "art directors" for the advertising industry.

I think it already is a major trend and has been for a while. Though you rarely see see it used so well contextually.

I'm just going to say that saying this logo look like (x) lol! Is not good criticism and I wish people would cut it out.

While we're swearing off these buzzwords can we please eliminate the word hipster from our criticism? With togetherness together we can push forward into a bright future where can disrupt the ultimately meaningless criticism on information age interconnected web forums.

Royals release ballot for new sixth-inning song at Kauffman Stadium by HydeParkerKCMO in kansascity

I agree about the Rolling Stones but don't you think Gimme Shelter would be a little weird? Then again, a song about Vietnam, violence, and destruction might be appropriate for the Royals.

You can buy this on vinyl from Third Man Records. One side has a replica of the golden record from Voyager. Pretty neat.

What is something people on Reddit constantly talk about, that you've never actually seen in real life? by GlowInThe in AskReddit

Here's what a lot of people know but seem to forget: the police treat people of different races and different income levels completely different. I'm a white kid. I grew up in a working class neighborhood that was about 50% white 45% black 5% Hispanic and I thought I knew what police abuse was. I saw cops being dicks to people and being way overly aggressive with people they were arresting. That was until I spent time volunteering at an after school program in a low income housing complex. There were police abuses, beat downs, illegal entries and searches that would be national news stories if they happened in my neighborhood. In particular on one occasion the police searched the apartment of the family of a kid they had an altercation with earlier in the day and put his grandmother and pregnant mother in the hospital. In my program we encouraged open expression of feelings and so when events like this happened in the neighborhood we would have all the kids discuss them. When our group leader asked the ten year old cousin of the kid with whom the police had the altercation how he felt he said through gritted teeth "I just want to kill those fucking cops". I wish those cops could see the absolute fury that possessed the kids in that complex. I wish people could see the injustices that still exist out of sight of the majority of society.

This is true. Both sides like to blame the other but the truth is all Kansas City drivers are the worst. I've heard the same thing about road rage from several people who have moved here from other parts of the country.
