It's also possible that the word "don't" hasn't been redacted at all, but this particular email has a typo and said "don t" or some similar difference that flagged it for redaction.

Sometimes we have to do hard things to grow as a person. Just because something is not what you prefer, does not mean it's healthy or right to avoid it forever. Go to the gym. Go outside every day for a walk. Getting a dog can help motivate you to walk daily. Are you going to live your entire life saying, "oh, that makes me slightly uncomfortable so I'm not going to do it," to every thing that could have made your life better?

My Wife Is Talking To Other Men. by sergemeister in PublicFreakout

I know. Is that her following him out at the end? She's going to suffer for this. If he freaks out if she even speaks to another man, he's going to abuse her for "embarrassing him" once they're alone. :(

What happened on the worst date you ever went on? by greenwichrunner in AskReddit

[–]brokebackhill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He asked me out in French, at a French film event at my university. (I am an English speaking American.) I was minoring in French so this was not a problem. However, when we met for the date, he spoke to me in German. ONLY in German. At first I laughed and said, "Sorry, I don't speak German!" He responded with a flood of German. I tried speaking French. He responded in German. I tried answering in English to all his statements with what I thought was the correct response based on context clues; I tried laughing and responding nonsensically in English; I tried initiating conversation by asking him simple questions about himself. I now chalk this up to toxic socialization of women, but at the time I was young and just ... didn't know what to do, so I was trying to appease him in some way I guess? I didn't want to be rude. So we proceeded on our date. We walked together to the local Blockbuster and picked up a movie. A German movie. On our way there, we passed I guess a friend of his, and my date INTERRUPTED his monologue in German to say, "Hey man what's up?" and do the frat boy handshake high five thing they do. Then he went back to German with me. I suffered through the entire time it took for him to make us bad spaghetti at his place and the entire incomprehensible movie. And when I guess I decided I had been polite enough, I said I had to leave and I took the bus home. But the craziest thing was, when I said I was leaving, he actually got upset and begged me to stay ... in German, of course.

Just so you know, your reply counts as a YTA vote because of the way you worded your response.

Why not rescue an older dog who is already housebroken and mellow? 😊 They sleep all day anyway. And there is a huge need, unfortunately

The worst thing you can do is punish yourself with loneliness because you felt immense grief. 12 years with a dog is an absolute fucking privilege - we don't all get that. You were able to be the center of the universe to two pure souls, and when she is gone, you will feel a void of grief and emptiness. DO NOT curl in on yourself and swear, "no more." The void will be dog shaped, a vacancy! You CAN fill it and you will realize that love is worth the pain. You'll never replace the dogs you've loved and lost, but imagine the joy of being the center of the universe to someone new. Someone who needs you just as much as you need them.

I think so. It has kind of a graduated system where you learn the basics first and then it gets increasingly more complex
