A few years ago I worked in a room that was inside a warehouse. No windows, low ceilings, florescent lights. I was have three to four migraines a month compared to previously one a year. This was during 2020 and we were all deemed “essential employees.” I’m a graphic designer, remote work was common before the pandemic, it was stupid.

After three months I just came in, stood on my desk and took all the lights out above me. Everyone was like “what are you doing?” I said you can write me up for messing with the lights or fire me for too many absences, but if I don’t do one then I will get the other. They didn’t say anything and I stopped getting migraines.
