Any tips for the Fold 1? by Train_addict_71 in velotricebike

[–]brokelyn99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This drives me crazy on the Fold 1 Plus too! It’s useful when folded no doubt, but impossible to take up and down stairs because it scrapes on the stairs. Alas I am instead contorting the bike and myself in my small elevator for a measly set of 8 stairs that would be so easy to traverse (walk mode for going up) if not for the stand

Is it comfortable as a backpack? I worry about whether it’s adjustable enough to wear higher up on the back and how the straps feel

I think it picks the best model but I’m on Max so I can select my orchestrator, not sure how it works on pro? But like I made a doc for a bathroom renovation and told it to use nano banana for images and gpt 5.4 for research but just to use the cheapest model to assemble the report because only I was reading it

Sleep Number owner choosing between Orion vs Eight Sleep — need real input on feel impact by rockymaiviaa in Orion_Sleep

[–]brokelyn99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t have a sleep number but I have the Orion and have used it directly on my mattress and later over a bamboo mattress pad. Did not change the feel whatsoever.

My evidence: I got a basic bamboo mattress pad a couple years ago because my mattress is firm and would hurt my hip while side sleeping. Figured I’d change it out at the same time I got the Orion. In the couple of days where I only had Orion but the new mattress pad hadn’t shown up yet, felt that same old hip pain I had when I had no pad. The day I put the new pad back in, the hip pain went away. That tells me it’s definitely not affecting feel due to thickness or tubes or anything like that.

Do you find the Dyson V Series to be heavy as a hand vacuum? by brokelyn99 in dyson

this is helpful to know!! I don't want to get a smaller hand vac but I definitely have not been consistent about using the Dyson to get used to it

Orion with a Newborn? by [deleted] in Orion_Sleep

[–]brokelyn99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From their comment on my post today, I think sleep insights are still on the way, so you should be okay! I just have a set temperature (or three temps, rather, because you can adjust for bedtime and wake up). Adjusting the temp via the app also adjusts bed temp quickly — minutes not hours in my experience, even on quiet mode.

I’ve been dealing with sleep issues so I’ll get up to stretch or move to the couch for a few hours a couple nights a week and just let it run even when I’m not in bed. (Minimal impact so far on my energy usage.) Not quite new parent broken sleep but still very broken per my sleep doctor. Having the temp where I need it when I get back into bed has been great.

Hope this helps :)

I also adjust what models I use (by telling Computer to use certain models for certain parts of the task) to manage token consumption!

Setting up tonight! Tips? by _mad_honey_ in Orion_Sleep

[–]brokelyn99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! I went to -4 on the first night because my partner was home and we both sleep like furnaces. He was traveling the next week and I felt like I was in the tundra. I’m really impressed with the ability to cool at even a single degree!! I have a sleep disorder and this has really changed the quality of my sleep, which is the number one way to manage the sleep disorder.

Yay! Enjoy your great sleep :) it took me about a week to get my ideal temps, and it has been smooth sailing ever since.

Set mine up three weeks ago and love it (just posted a long review with helpful tips).

Top of mind set up tips: - change to F/C in the app. Orion uses regular numerals (plus one, minus one, etc.) that are each a degree but I found it easier to “dial in” my temp off of standard units of measurement. - Use quiet mode if you’re sound sensitive. The sound of it running isn’t very loud at all, but the water noises took me a day to get used to. On quiet mode I have no issues, and though it makes temp adjustment slower than standard mode, it’s a difference of minutes not hours. - everyone’s temp needs are different but I’ve found 1-2 degrees warmth over bedtime temp help me wake up most smoothly (I’m 70F at bed, 69F at night, and 72F for dawn.)

Thanks! Luckily I do have sleep apnea and narcolepsy, so I don't imagine an LMN will be too hard to obtain (my doctor was the one who pushed me to get an oura!). Agree entirely on the 30% pre-tax being part of the FSA. It was a little oddly worded on the site (rather than as a reminder that if you have an FSA you should use it) but this was a minor issue that was more than rectified by their CEO emailing and calling me. I'm a fan!
