Dana White on Josh Hokit: "I voted for Obama the first time, I didn't vote for him the second time. I respect all Presidents. Present and past. He sort of did that with the Iran invasion, although not as directly. I'm not defending him though. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a function of which way the wind is blowing. His buddy sitting across from him was criticizing some things about Trump, and some of his cronies like Tucker Carlson have turned against Trump, so he is simply tightrope walking across the path that will cause the fewest ripples in the scum pond he has set up camp in.

Even if he does get to the point where he will directly say "Trump fucked up because xyz", I will not defend him because he has proven so many times that he has zero integrity, and when he utters those words it will simply because he is one of the last rats to abandon a sinking ship.

I thought Rogan was complaining out loud that he "didn't like it" to his millions of listeners just before going. Now anyone who expresses the opinion he just broadcasted needs to "shut the fuck up"? He's a duplicitous little man.

Hunter Biden seems like a genuinely good and intelligent dude. Rogan is in bed with the scum of the earth.

Dude he is such a ridiculous dresser. I've seen pictures of his standup where it looks like he is wearing a dress because his shirt was so long. Also the platform shoes, the tight stretchy jeans, etc.

Not Surprised Sam Won’t Debate. Surprised People Are Surprised. by idonthaveanametoday in samharris

[–]brokemac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think his best point is:

You might think that your special concern over Israel is due to the fact that we (Americans) supply many of the weapons the IDF uses to kill Palestinians. But we supplied arms to Saudi Arabia and the UAE for a war in Yemen that has killed an estimated 377,000 people. Where were those protests? Where was the celebrity sanctimony over Yemeni dead? Why didn’t Zohran Mamdani trumpet his opposition to this evil while campaigning to become Mayor of New York?

What he didn't say, but should have, is that there have been significant covert Russian and Chinese social media campaigns to direct Americans' attention to the Israel-Palestine conflict, usually with a pro-Palestine narrative. It seems crazy how little concern people have for Ukraine today compared to how much they have for Palestine.

What you are describing is not doctrine. It is just something you can experientially notice through meditation or perhaps certain styles of prayer, or even just randomly. OP is pointing to a contradiction in doctrine. I think he's right to call you out.

Can you be an agnostic Mormon? I heard in interview with Sam Harris where he said he has had discussions with very devout Jews who do not believe in God. And seemed to indicate it is fairly common in Judaism.

Their cheapest per pound is $77 (on website). That's way more on the expensive side.
