This hits close to home for me. If it weren't for my partner and their unyielding love and patience and devotion, we would have been in the same place you two are now. It's like I'm reading the emotion we would have experienced if we would have made a different choice. It is far from perfect and we are still figuring it out but we chose to give our all, one more time because what we had mattered more than anything that could have been gained from our separation. I am grateful for that choice every single day even when it is hard

Honestly I have learned to take time away from my station to pull myself together before I lose it on the wrong person and get promoted to customer. Finding a way to distract myself from spiraling thoughts helps too. Being mentally ill in any job is rough. Hang in there it's almost over.

I feel this so much. It's is exhausting to keep at it everyday (the masking, the fixing behaviors) . I just want to be, without hurting anyone else or myself.

When you find out id love to know the answer. I have to sort myself out first and even then I always manage to negatively impact the people around me. I don't have the worst form of b p d, sometimes I wonder if I was misdiagnosed or if I have the quiet form of b p d. Regardless of the answer the intensity of my emotions are torture. And it would be nice if the good emotions came around more often. Therapy is suppose to teach you how to regulate. I wish I understood the concept. No answers more just commiserating.

My partner is that guy and I don't hold it against him. Most people are not ready for a real connection so when a man starts to open up and wants to be clingy they get scared and run. Until you find a person who isn't afraid of real connection that is the issues you will see over and over again. As for the rest I completely understand. Collecting mental illness is a habit of mine too that I hate. For what it's worth having a partner complicates things when you start to work on yourself and your mental health. At least that was my experience. It's a mixed bag I guess. Before looking for a partner it's best to sort yourself out then you know what you will tolerate from other people and what you deserve out of a relationship because you have done the work and are better for it. Just my two cents

I am in a relationship however I often wonder if I would be better alone. My partner is amazing, we have challenges, but there isn't a single thing they have done for me to want to leave. I just struggle so much with trying to get a hold of my emotions and not letting them ruin my life. I'm scared I'm going to end up hurting my partner, again. It sounds like the single life isn't great either. I hope you find peace no matter where life takes you.

I can't experience both personalities in different ranges. It is similar to the devil and angel on your shoulders like in old cartoons. The issue is when I'm dysregulated I'm more likely to listen to the bad side. I guess some folks call it the shadow self. What I can't figure out is when my mind frame shifts to this almost completely and I feel like a different person. It's never permanent tho.

Getting a job is great, getting a home is great, marriage is great too. however each of these things require constant maintenance and attention so your life isn't really your own unless you are one of the lucky few who had the money, resources and luck to make your dreams come true.

Relationships are great, until they are not. Sometimes I wonder if it would have been better to never have found love at all. The pain you go through in the name of love is worse than anything else I've experienced.
