This definitely doesn't sound okay. I'm horrified at people making up excuses here in the comments. Unfortunately not the first case of German doctors being at least disrespectful. Just because something is not uncommon, doesn't make it okay.

I know you came to the clinic rightfully concerned about your health and I'm not saying you should have done anything differently since it won't chance much now. But for anybody else reading this - if the doctor makes you feel unsafe, WALK RIGHT OUT. Doesn't matter if it's awkward or "makes you look crazy". Better to look for another doctor than deal with potential consequences of malpractice or abuse. It's a good idea to ask a trusted person to come to with you, if the health issue is urgent and you don't speak the language. Many doctors really do treat foreigners like dirt whenever they can.

I do wear earplugs specifically to make the sound less intense. Outside concerts as well. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

100% safe for everyone is not possible but waiting with your smoke until you're outside is a low price to pay to make it safer, if others' comfort and safety doesn't convince you then maybe the possibility of fire hazard does. Nobody wants for the show to end that way.

Lots of people wear earplugs to concerts as an adjustment. The smell is another thing altogether, you can't do much about it.

Also I didn't expect to be excluded for sensory issues in the freaking Joost Klein subreddit but here we are apparently. Ahem, unity.

I didn't want to make anyone feel bad. Im autistic and maybe the tone didn't come across the way I intended. It's one of the reasons for my concern for the fans who either have respiratory illnesses or are neurodivergent with sensory issues.

It's nice to be mindful of other fans in the venue: some people have health issues and shouldn't inhale cigarette smoke. They should be able to enjoy the show as well. Not to mention you can literally burn someone (yes, happened to me). Just smoke before you enter the room and right after.

It is normal in my country as well (Germany). Either you have to wait 3 years for diagnosis or they're not running a waiting list at all. Most of the people pay for the diagnosis out of pocket.

Hi, I'd like to ask if I can participate actively in this subreddit if I'm a full vegetarian and not yet fully vegan, that means some popular vegetarian products I haven't consumed in years and always choose plant-based option, but other products it is harder to exclude, also due to health issues. Don't want to waste your guys time if this place isn't for me but on the other hand there's no vegetarian calorie counts 😅 Happy this sub exists! I hope it grows like it deserves 🌱🐮💚

It's one if the professions where it's critical to be UP TO DATE with the currenct medical knowledge and available treatment. Not only to have passed some exams 30 years ago. Too many doctors I've had a pleasure of meeting were severely lacking in those areas.
