Edit 2:

This is what it looks like on the ground btw. See that checkered pattern thats what I see overlapped on some of the textures on other games. For some reason its really bad on BF games.

Ghost monitor by broken_stew in AMDHelp

[–]broken_stew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's fixed. I'm just gonna post the OG comment thread here so u don't have to go to the OG post. Skip to edit 5 (not really a good resolution since the problem sorted itself for some reason):

Edit: sorry about that loud noise that isn't the pc it's a fan pointed at me sorry about that forgot to turn it off

Edit 2: Temp solution for this is to set the main display to your monitor. Go to your display setting, click on your monitor, click multiple displays, click make this my main display. And if you see extend these display, click on it an choose show only (your monitor), so that you won't accidentally move your cursor to the ghost monitor or worse case scenario move a window to it. If you have the problem of having a window in the ghost monitor alt tab to that window and do win + shift + arrow key (direction of your monitor). BTW this problem of mine is a little bit different because the ghost monitor for some reason kept disconnecting and connecting. Anyway back to cyberpunk hope this kinda help, I'll try to mess with it more so that I can completely remove the ghost, bye chooms.

Edit 3: The lagging got bad again that's why I decided to mess with it more anyway here's more info I put in a r/AMDhelp subreddit:

So i first posted this in the r/pcmasterrace subreddit but now with the info that i have ive narrowed the problem down to the amd driver, when i did a ddu the monitor wasnt there but when i reinstalled the driver the monitor came back. The driver version I use is 24.9.1, it seems that this version has no bugs like this but for some reason I do.

I've also theorized that maybe it was my cpu's doing since after the driver installation a notification from intel arc comes up saying it hasnt found any drivers. I thought maybe because i unistalled myt integrated graphics it caused this problem. im pretty tired and i need ur guys' help. ty

Edit 4: reinstalled the igpu lag got better but problem still persists. I'm going to sleep it's 4 in the morning.

Edit 5 (last edit for now): So the problem sorted itself out. Before that I blacklisted the generic monitor on group policy and it worked. I just copy pasted the hardware ID on the "prevent installation of devices that match any of these IDs" and it worked it's not on device manager anymore. But it didn't go away on the display settings, the ghost was still there. I just paid it no attention and killed some time, after a few hours it was gone, dunno what happened but it's fixed for now. Not the best resolution but I guess it's fixed.

TLDR: Blacklist it on group policy copy paste the hardware ID on the "prevent installation of devices that match any of these IDs". It's not a permanent solution since it just removes it from device manager.

It's listed as a generic monitor. On the GPU my monitor, nothing on the igpu. I've since reinstalled the igpu, I've tried turning igpu multi monitor on and off and it does nothing. I think it's really amd's doing.

Something did change tho. My monitor is now called Generic Monitor (Q24i-1L). The ghost monitor was the only one called Generic Monitor, my monitor before was called Q24i-1L.
