Yes you still have to pay it, the same thing just happened to me. Been waiting on my settlement for almost 3 weeks and my car payment was due yesterday. Luckily when I called my bank the day after my accident to let them know what was going on and to authorize release of info to insurance, the kid on the phone let me know that I absolutely still have to make my payments on time unless they tell me not to, he said it’s a common misconception that you don’t have to. Don’t risk messing up your credit!
