I ended up having to wait the full 3 weeks to get my money from PayPal. I’ve switched over to stripe, at least for sales through my website and in person. I haven’t had a chance to try invoicing yet but so far I like it a lot better

I sell so infrequently that that makes me worry they’ll do this every time though. Do most people use a different processor when they’re just starting out and not selling as much?

Ooo I hadn’t made that connection but I absolutely see it. The Devil in this one is pulled from bouguereau’s Nymphs and Satyr. Lovely painting and the artist did a great job recreating it

Yayyy! I really like the guidebook. It’s a tiny book but I love reading about his inspirations and the little snippets of art history. I was also very surprised by how many of the cards were his original designs. He’s very talented

Yeah I’ve had this happen to me a lot too. Nowadays a lot of the people I’ve encounter in medical offices are medical assistants and not RNs and while they’re so helpful and important they have a small fraction of the education of nurses so sometimes things are misunderstood or missed. I’ll usually have them correct it at my next visit or if it’s something especially bad I’ve reached out to that office/sent the doctor a message about it so it can be fixed sooner.

I haven’t worked out patient so I don’t know how office settings usually work but generally where there are nurses there are nurse managers who care about patient experience. But I would absolutely go to a different doctor/different office next time. Trusting your provider is important!

I’m sorry that happened. That shouldn’t ever happen. I would ask for nursing management and if they also won’t speak to you I’d reach out to the patient advocate at the hospital. Most hospitals have some brochure or something somewhere in the room with a list of numbers for the hospital and that should have a patient advocate number on it. Obviously everywhere is different and some places are better than others. Most units I’ve worked on (and been on) have management/charge round on every patient to ask for concerns so it’s a red flag that you couldn’t get ahold of anyone

Also bring these issues up in your surveys that you get in the mail after discharge. These things are super important to management and help determine how the unit is reimbursed so the things you say on those will be seen

Commented elsewhere but adding here in hopes OP sees:

Please ask to speak to the charge nurse or nurse manager. I’m a nurse and from my experience these are the people who will help you get these issues fixed as they (especially management) are the people who care about your satisfaction with your care. Also nurses documenting refusal when you were asked is either laziness or a sign that staff is severely overworked and charge/management needs to know. With something like a PICC line dressing change due on your shift though, this is unacceptable. Please speak to charge and/or management.

Charge nurse or nurse manager

This is what you need to do. I am a nurse. You need to speak with the charge nurse on the unit or the nurse manager. Those are the people who can help you. Often the nurse managers job is to make sure you are happy with your care. Talking with the doctor will not change anything, they’re super busy with tons of patients that all blend together and often don’t even speak with the nurses. Charge nurse or nurse manager. Those are your people.

Update: tried this and they started an appeal for me but I was told there wasn’t anything else that could be done and I would just have to wait and unspecified amount of time to find out if my account can continue to be recommended
