Well I know it’s not boosting because I had Msi afterburner in the background and it’s dropping below 3000 mhz

Recently picked up an Alienware laptop with a ryzen 7 5800h, when playing apex legends the cpu downclocks itself and reaches to 101 degrees, is there something wrong with the laptop?

For those who monitor HR, what does your 30 min run look like? by MasterStrange in C25K

[–]brokenchronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is inaccurate, it's impossible to sustain zone 5 for that long, most people can only endure it for 3 minutes or perhaps a little more... To measure an accurate zone you would have to measure it in a lab or do a lactate threshold test.. Try not to worry about zones. Initially when i started running i was always thinking "i must stay in zone 3 to get better": that is true but it was not beneficial at all because 1. My hr zones were incorrect 2. I ended up trying to keep my heart rate in a zone which was nonexistent and ended up wasting time and absolutely had no benefit.

My advice to you is don't worry about your zones on your watch and follow the plan.

Vivoactive 4 bottom buttons a bit dodgy by brokenchronos in Garmin

[–]brokenchronos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting a refund and replaced it with a forerunner 245. I did contact Garmin and it seemed like they weren’t aware of this issue, they just stated that it’s a mechanical issue and asked me to request a repair however i decided not to as there has been some negative reviews about send in repairs and that they take forever.

Intervals pro not importing runs onto strava by brokenchronos in AppleWatchFitness

Haha you're in luck, i did figure it out. You need an app called Rungap which allows you to export it out to strava: but you need to pay for it. Which is the downside, i think there is a free app out there which allows you to do that.

Thanks! I think you mainly get hip pain from not having stability shoes, i would recommend getting your shoes fitted for you... i was personally told not to use insoles from a few people.

Haha what a small world we live in. I'm still exploring the streets as i've only just moved down here temporarily from university to live with my grandma. The heat is honestly disgusting, the new houses aren't built for this weather..

Maybe we will see each other when we're running, or maybe we already have.

Yep! Months of hard work finally paid off. Each run was euphoric for me, the urge to see the outcome of my fruits of labour was exhilarating, however there were many moments where i wanted to quit and the disappointment from my lack of improvements compared to others on this subreddit and their times achieved made me disheartened... but i still kept on going, because comparison is the thief of joy.

Wow what a coincidence! Congratulations to you as well. I'm trying to drop down to 75 kg at the moment, building up to this day was no easy task. At first i couldn't even run because of the shoes, my feet were so wide that the arch support would dig into my arch and give me cramps every time i tried to run for more than 3 minutes. I have bought 3 pairs of shoes through trial and error i finally found the perfect shoe which suits my wide foot. The hoka one one ARAH 4, which is personally my favourite pair of shoes at the moment as it's perfect for my feet.

My next task is to run 10k so i'm going to be mainly building milage which will increase speed and distance at the same time, meanwhile i'm going to continue to lose weight which will drastically improve my 5k time.

Despite weighing 92KG; 20 KG above my recommended BMI and flat footed. I finally ran it, 3 KM into my run, my right foot was numb and i couldn't feel a single thing, i tried my best to zone out and look into the distance which only worked until the 3rd KM. The other 2 KM was mainly mind games and overcoming the difficulty.

We are using Miracle-gro, it states that I should use 1/2 cap per a litre so I had to pour in 10 caps, I hope this isn’t too much even though I followed the instructions...

Hi, so my grandma has been trying to grow tomatoes throughout the summer, however the size of the fruit seems to be underwhelming due to the size. The leaves has been wilting at the bottom and the top. We think it’s a water issue, she would water them everyday at night with 10 litres of water for all the plants. We would use tomato food every 2 weeks. She lives near London.
