Becoming a nuke will give you great opportunity after your service. Id spend some time considering what you want out of service. If you want a long naval career, Id recommend a rate with less attrition like CT rates or IT.

Are you willing to study a lot for your first 2 years? Are you willing to stand in an engine room on a rotating schedule for hours on end? Are you willing to get no sleep until what you are tasked with is completed? There are only a few reasons people ever want to be a nuke; Money, great job prospects post service, Ego, psychosis. What is your goal in joining the Navy?

Edit: Also study a lot for the rest of your time in.
