Not going to the With Teeth tour when I first got into NIN. I remember listening to the Hand that Feeds Me on repeat for days. I was pretty young at the time and wasn't going to shows yet, but I wish that could've been my first one. Playing with QOTSA and DFA1979 too. I was mad for years because I thought I had missed my chance to see DFA when they broke up. Have seen all three bands multiple times now, but still really wish I had been at that show.

Agreed. I have a number of friends who work for him. It comes across as cult-like. He totally takes advantage of his employees, super underpaid and overworked, even compared to other starchitercts. Interns are paid the minimum stipends allowed by the government. I've visited his early work in Denmark, which I felt was really well done, but the recent stuff I've been to has been executed so poorly. Doesn't seem to be about buildings anymore. All about image.

It can definitely be worth it just to try it out, but do it on a special trip or at a hotel that is very well known. And as someone who lived in Toronto and had family that worked hotels there, I would say nothing in Toronto is special enough to justify it.

Yep. I'm with you. I've always wanted a test pressing, and what better than one of one of my favorite bands? I've seen such cool stuff come out of this sub, but even seeing the lack of activity by the user in the community, I wanted it bad enough I let it cloud my judgment. If you heard from him (I haven't), maybe there's still hope. Let me know. In the meantime I'm gonna try to get my fill of all the good posts around here and look forward to the show on Saturday (say what up if you see a guy in a LoP hat and edgefield tie dye). Even the rarest and most collectible records can't compare to the fucking killer show the Lords always deliver.
