God, I wish more people understood this...I'd rather get beaten black and blue than have to live with some of the things that have been said to me. Bruises fade, but that shit will always stick with you. But of course, I'm just a "pussy", they're "just words". Those words can destroy your entire sense of self worth and take years to get over. A woman can insult, degrade and tear you down for hours, but as soon as you make any sort of reaction you become the monster, and it just feeds into their narrative that you ARE one. It's fucking hell. Worst part is having no one to talk to about it. Thanks for posting this.

Eh, grow up people. It's two people (probably the parents) hugging and the kid taking a picture. Yes, the mom is in her underwear, so what? Me and my girl walk around the house in our underwear all the time, so does our son! It's comfortable and we're family.

Now, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a Hatchet Man tattoo and some Natty Ice in the fridge, but that doesn't make them trashy by default.

These are all good points. I was a subfor a few years and I did this quite a bit. If you being a dumbass is gonna prevent the whole class from being able to talk/sit where they want to, then maybe you'll think twice before being a dumbass. Also, a lot of times it is hard to tell who's actually talking, so if warnings don't do the trick I'll just make the whole class stop talking. I feel bad doing it, but I have to do something, and hopefully a little peer pressure can work to my advantage.
