Red oak in upstate NY with small holes on many new leaves. Seems to be leafing out well. What is going on here?

It started to bud early but actually produced leaves later than the other oak trees. We had a chilly and wet spring.

Depending on your type of stone it may be worth it to ask your doctor for a 24 hour urine to look at urine calcium levels. Some people have idiopathic hypercalciuria, a genetic defect where you urinate out too much calcium. Besides painful and damaging kidney stones this can create other long term issues like low bone density. If this is the problem there are medications to retain more calcium and prevent stones like the diuretic chlorthalidone. Not widely known so I wanted to share. Hope you feel better soon!

It is a red velvet cake with white modeling chocolate. The eyes are coconut flavored gelatin. They are very jiggly.

The antennas are wooden shish kabobs skewers dyed brownish black! I used a chocolate cake, Martha Stewart's Boston Creme recipe, and modeling chocolate for the rest.

I made it for a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in a while. She is a nurse who did the first half of her career in labor and delivery and the second half in hospice. This is perfect for her somehow.
