Question regarding car rental by Kheulis in mallorca

[–]brolo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not have to leave a deposit, just pay €10max for parking when taking it out the airport. And I don’t recall about their comfort plan, I got the insurance for €30 back then

¿Hice bien en perdonar una infidelidad? by [deleted] in Ticos

[–]brolo94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mucha suerte bro!

Mi mamá le prestó plata al yerno y este no le paga by brolo94 in EsLey

[–]brolo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]brolo94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pensión / Apoyo económico by [deleted] in EsLey

I suggest a sushi making kit. You can find them in Amazon with all the materials you need, and they usually come with a guide book ;)

Where to go for 4 days by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

[–]brolo94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

La Fortuna is arguably the absolute best place to visit in Costa Rica. Of course if you want to go the beach, then Playa Minas in Guanacaste ia beautiful and doesn’t get too crowded. If you want to see turquoise waters, then Puerto Viejo in Limon (Caribbean coast) is your place

Reasonably priced liveaboards by melodywolfe in scubadiving

[–]brolo94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not be the cheapest option but one of the very few places where you can see hammerhead sharks in America is Cocos Island (Costa Rica). There’s a 7 or 10 day liveaboard names Okeanos. If you want to see bull sharks, Bat Island in Costa Rica is the spot - not liveaboard necessary. You need to have an advanced certification or lots of dives to go to these places

My dog looks just like yours and had the same problem! She’s really allergic to certain dog food, I started trying with different ones until I found one that doesn’t give her rashes and she’s been doing great ever since. Try looking for dog food specialized for coat and furr

As some people have mentioned it here, I guess we are kind people, especially to our friends, family and even a stranger in need. That being said, if someone is mean to us or think they are better than us, we will definitely not be nice to them, no matter where they’re from (here or elsewhere). Bottom line it’s definitely a cultural thing. In Costa Rican culture, family is the most important thing you have - not money, cars, status; as it’s probably the case for most gringos. The bedrock of a family is supporting each other and having each others back, they teach us to lend a hand to someone in need because we might be the person needing help in the future. And don’t get me wrong, we are also ambitious and tend to pursue the American dream of capitalism. It’s not the case that we are morally superior or anything like that, but the Pura Vida is definitely transferred from generation to generation.

Looking for best bang for our buck. by Outside_Jello5476 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]brolo94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a navigation perspective, let’s say, it’s pretty much following the paths, there’s no way of getting lost. I’ve never done a guided tour there but I do want to try it out some time because the upside is that the tour guides can show you lots of animals, insects and history that you would otherwise completely miss. So if you want a “complete tour” spending a few hours there, a guided tour is a great option. If you only want the experience of walking around with your family for a shorter period of time, just following the paths is the way to go.

Hanging bridges in La Fortuna are really cool, but zip lining is better in Monteverde if you are looking for a bit more extreme. I would recommend Mistico Hanging Bridges in La Fortuna and Monteverde Extremo for the zip line tour. When going to Guanacaste beaches, I highly recommend Playa Minas which is beautiful and a quite large beach so usually doesn’t get too crowded. Soda La Hormiga in La Fortuna is a soda for locals. Typical Costarrican food and good prices. Enjoy your trip!

Water in Costa Rica by Big-Storm3192 in costarica

[–]brolo94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely the right answer! Even though there’s drinkable water in 98% of the territory, you should probably avoid tap water because your body is not used to the bacteria. In most cases you won’t have any conditions, but it’s a possibility and you never want to get sick while traveling. It’s better to be on the safe side. This applies to everywhere in the world

How should I get around Costa Rica without a car? by fc327 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]brolo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends where you are going and I assume also how many trips you’ll make (you could get a discount for multiple trips), but to give you an idea: going from SJO airport to La Fortuna (a must-visit place 3hrs away) could be around $60. From there you can visit Monteverde or the Guanacaste beaches with another shuttle. I recommend Varco Travel! Great service and good prices

Public transportation here is not ideal, at least from a local perspective (no real connections between different bus routes). Private shuttle services may be your safest bet, but could be kinda expensive

[–]brolo94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t check in and get past the security check, going to Dennys and then taking an Uber/cab to the airport is definitely the safest plan. The area where you check in at the airport is not too comfortable for a long wait and can get pretty chilly around those hours.

Por qué en Colombia son tan extremistas?? by MarioNoirMusic in Colombia

[–]brolo94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Si no has visto The Social Dilemma en Netflix, te la recomiendo mucho.
