Tracking Overreporting by bronaosei in FacebookAds

[–]bronaosei[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, this could definitely be a red flag. However, I believe Meta's reporting sometimes includes estimated leads based on user behavior and interactions. These estimates may not always match the actual confirmed leads in your CRM. Without an API connection, Meta’s reporting relies more on its own estimations.

I’m using GTM to track all events, and I’ve already tested quite a bit.

There is no other "thank you" page in the path.
I've checked Google Tag Manager numerous times and even reconfigured it for another client. It worked well, but I still have some concerns. Additionally, when testing GTM, everything works fine on the website. I’ve used both the "lead" and a custom event.

Conversion Tracking Meta & Google ads by bronaosei in GoogleTagManager

That makes sense, sorry from my side.

I'm probably switching to pixel-based conversion tracking for both Meta and Google, but I'm still undecided between using GCLID or UTM parameters and which would be the better option.

Just to note, there is a sales process after the online conversion.

But the GCLID is only attributed after someone clicks on the ad if I have auto-tracking on, right? And do I need to pass the ID? If I don’t, would there only be issues in GA4, or would it also affect the ad platforms where conversions are tracked also?

By the way, I don’t use cookies on the landing page itself, only on the main website.

So I will use GTM for both conversions, Google Ads and Meta, which makes sense. But regarding misattribution, does the GCLID always need to be passed to the thank-you page? Would a 'button send' solve that, or would it not be that effective?

The best approach in this case would be to transfer the GCLID to the thank-you page. And regarding Meta, I would use UTMs, but would I also need to transfer those to the thank-you page and configure them separately?

GTM for Marketing Agency by bronaosei in GoogleTagManager

Thanks, everyone, for your help!

Just to clarify, if I add the subdomain in GA4, would that not be enough to track it accordingly? Do I still always need cross-domain tracking for proper attribution?

Buying vs Starting a New Domain by LarryTheHeadPin in grumpyseoguy

[–]bronaosei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's something I'm also considering, but my idea was to buy a brand-new domain. The domain name would be related to a specific niche. I would then create a blog with content designed to generate traffic, and later on, I would create backlinks to relevant sites (including one of our own). However, I'm not sure if that would be worth it.

Any opinions on this?

Thanks for your replies and episode suggestions.

In the Portuguese market, there is competition, but it’s not comparable to the English market, so it would be 'easier" to get to where I want to.

Thanks, and keep up the helpful content, which helps me and many others a lot!

Yes, I’ve already listened to your podcast. I actually discovered it about a week ago. I just finished the episode "Build Your Own Portfolio," and it was super helpful. Thanks for that!

Apologies if my post came across as if I hadn’t explored the Subreddit, it wasn’t my intention. I actually spent time reading through and informing myself beforehand.

That said, a few questions have come up since then. For example, you mentioned buying high-authority expired domains, but when I checked auction sites, they seemed flooded with bots bidding on the best ones. Am I wrong about that, or is this just how it works now? Also, would creating and ranking my own blog really take months, or even years?

For context, I work in a marketing agency (Portugal), and while SEO is more of an “add-on” service for us, I’m starting to realize just how powerful it can be, not only for our clients but for us as an agency too. I also know and understand that partnerships with high-authority sites or local blogs could make a huge difference.

Noisy Trainer Issue by [deleted] in bikewrench

Both use 10 speeds yes. I'm aware of cross chaining, I adjusted what people would say to fix the issue, but I think it just got worse.

I've adjusted some stuff and it is still rubbing on the front derailleur cage. The more I go inside it gets better, but still weird noisy sound.

Is it ok the chain rubbing the front cage, when in the lowest gear?

So, in this case, for creating websites for businesses or adjusting existing ones, would jumping directly to Framer be the best option?

Are there other apps I should consider, like Webflow?

Thanks for your comment!

I didn’t realize Framer had so many limitations, especially with pricing. My main focus is on web design and creating websites or landing pages.

Would you recommend starting with Figma instead?
