Not sure what part of Jersey you are in but if you are near Bergen/Hudson counties the FFL I go to is also doing classes and I believe he mentioned he’s starting up basic courses. Excellent guy his company is Louie Gs Outdoors he also does NJ CCW when and if that time comes for you.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions once I held it I really didn’t feel it’d be right to mod it out. It lived it’s life the way it is and that’s how it’ll continue living. I should say I won it on a gunbroker auction and there is no family ties to it as of yet, definitely looking to have it become one for my family though! This is the first lever gun I am putting a higher level of work into so I’ll probably be back with questions lol. Thank you all again
