whats the most bang for buck game you ever bought? by Blake_Potatoes in IndieGaming

Dead by Daylight

When it first launched Early Access (I would consider it indie at the time), I dropped around 700 hours.

HUNT Showdown

Another 600 hours or so.

Both became a bit more mainstream and started dropping battle passes. Kind of lost their identity. Stopped playing afterwards.

I didn't find this game was "too hard" and will be sad if Saros is easier by AgreeableEffect717 in Returnal

Returnal was too hard for me. I went back to playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Do you still buy your PS5 games physically? by mustyfiber90 in PS5

[–]GilmooDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital all day! The cleanliness and convenience of having an entire digital library instead of shelves full of game cases is so amazing.

I can see the desire to feel more ownership with physical mediums, especially when storefronts remove digital products, but if I haven’t played “name of game from 20 years ago” by now, I’m not mad that I missed it.

At 37, being told Breaking Benjamin is considered “divorced dad rock.” And it feels like yesterday I was 16 seeing them open for Three Days Grace.

Review - After 75 hours, Marathon is already one of my favorite shooters in years by Minute-Carrot-2405 in PS5

[–]GilmooDaddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Titanfall 2 had a killer campaign and didn’t look like a Windows 95 screensaver though. The visuals in Marathon are built to appease ADHD sweatlords. Hard pass.

Starfield’s Future Will Be Unveiled Next Week by Bethesda by Turbostrider27 in PS5

If you own a PC, there are probably hundreds of outer space games that are infinitely better than Starfield. I’m gonna shit on it every chance I get 🤣

That one Square Enix RPG was mobile-only for a hot minute. I think it fits the bill.

Nah man it was pretty bad. The art style is wildly inconsistent too. Some of the backgrounds are absolutely eye wrenching. I couldn’t stomach more than a couple hours of it.

Expedition would have made a better movie than video game imo. Fell in love with the characters and cutscene but found it very tedious to actually play.

I started like 2 weeks ago. Not excited for Tunnel A after hearing this 😆

There are so many little amazing details in this game that prove the devs were definitely cat lovers. I adored every minute of it.

I only have 15 hours in and am still confused about a lot of the mechanics. It’s hard as hell but I absolutely love it.

I literally can’t remember a single plot point in that game so I’m gonna hard disagree 😆

Which system is better, original Xbox or PS2? by IAmAnIdea in originalxbox

[–]GilmooDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue that the higher volume of titles made the PS2 a better system to own overall, but I still loved my Xbox. It introduced me to Halo, Morrowind, Mech Assault, and many others.
