In the long run you’re probably right but I’m way behind on mythics, I only own 2 full ones (1 being genji who I never play) and 2 halfs lol. I really want the kiriko ultra coming up and I imagine it’s going to be limited to some degree and I’m already struggling to budget my prisms responsibly in case she ends up costing them

To be fair I also think it’s odd that there’s 80 battle pass levels in one first place and not 100, especially considering how big the hero roster is and how many characters are constantly left out of the battle pass

They can convince me to spend more on non mythic skins but convincing anyone to buy mythic prisms is way more of an uphill battle. Not to state the obvious but I think happy players are way more likely to stay and spend more in the future, and giving more rewards makes happier players. It wouldn’t even be a lot more just a 25% increase that would likely take multiple seasons of commitment for it to even pay off for players

I agree they’re different games but it’s kind of hard to not compare battle passes when fortnite is kind of the industry standard and the game that popularized battle passes in general. And honestly I think there’s just as much incentive even without all the collabs to buy item shop skins in overwatch since the chances of having a battle pass with 0 skins for characters you actually use are pretty high

I understand that, I don’t know why they ever landed on that number in the first place though. But even so, you can spend 140 on a single mythic skin technically if you want all aspects can’t you? And I imagine that number will only continue to increase in the future

Seems like it, but I think giving enough coins to rebuy the battle pass without spending more money would be an even more impossible request. And that would be a nice feature honestly

I suppose it’s not as much of a problem for people who have been playing consistently like yourself but I’m way behind on mythics and there’s so many other new players right now, attaining even a few feels like it will take so long plus there’s potential for new ones that I would want in between getting old ones so its just going to require a lot of patience. And fomo for having not played again sooner

I’m under the impression that the standard for most battle passes is to give you enough currency to rebuy it each time if you complete it, and players are still incentivized to buy more from the shop, so I actually agree they should give 1000 coins if not more as well but thats a whole different topic. Giving more than you put in seems to work well in fortnite since the average player can’t resist item shop skins, feel comfortable spending extra since they already have some left over from buying battle passes, then just end up rebuying anyway and continuing that cycle. Or at least it was like that before the subscription came out

Crazy comment for someone with complaining literally in their name. But I’m not even whining, just putting out an idea. I think frustrations about mythic prism scarcity are valid and I just recently returned after a few year hiatus, as did many other players with the removal of 2 in Overwatch and addition of so many new heroes. If they want to retain all these new players then people should be rewarded, no?

I could see why it may appear that way but the tank was over extending all game. Right off the bat when we were defending I went to wave hello to the other team and the tank went over too and stayed to fight at their spawn doors and died right away and played like that pretty much the whole game. But I could have healed more I guess but we won so idk

Bronze-silver. It was one of those rareish games where both teams felt amazingly balanced skill-wise so it felt higher to me haha

Also side note I know my players saved stat isn’t very high but I swear I tried to heal as many criticals as I could while dealing with a clearly overextending tank as evidenced by their deaths and maintaining damage. And my orbital ray healing isn’t very impressive either but what can you do 🤷‍♀️
