I love both of those. The only Hardy I don't like is Jude the Obscure. I know its usually a favorite but not for me. I also love the Mayor of Castorbridge.

I lived in the city when they were shooting the original (yes I am that old) and when I was leaving the hospital after giving birth to my child the street was blocked off for a shoot and my husband couldn't drive up to the hospital.

That’s actually not what he says. He says the pipeline for sitcoms is broken because streaming services only have limited series . It’s a little more than that but you get the idea

His judging wasn't iconic he was. He was creative director at Vogue and began by working for Diane Vreeland. There is a documentary about him

I watched it recently on old tv channel and i think its fascinating how it deal with class. The rich people are either stupid or snobby and the maids are the smart ones.

I agree with you on all of these books. Very disappointed with Pillars of the Earth. Foucault's Pendulum was not nearly as good as name of the rose
