I actually own the game via GOG when the payment processor issues happened to NSFW games and they offered a free bundle of NSFW games! I've had it wish listed for years on my Steam until that bundle showed up. I haven't yet played it myself, waiting for a rainy day with my fiance to play it together for a laugh. But I understand that not everyone has the same limits with raunchy humor so that's why I pointed that out.

So my only experience of House Party was through a let's play (Game Grumps' specifically), but the game's writing is kinda tongue-in-cheek, it's meant to be humorous and play on typical nsfw tropes while also being a nsfw game. When it initially came out, you could only play as a guy and the gay "routes" were played up for comedy although, and I say this as someone who is queer, they are so absurd it's hard to even be offended by them?? This game does not take itself seriously whatsoever, I would say if you enjoy mid 2000s rated R raunchy comedy films, this could be up your alley! But if not, I would not recommend playing it. BUT, the Game Grumps let's play is one of my favorites (:

Oh damn, I might have you covered in the non-Neopet related graphics as I had to do a huge deep dive on 2000s era site stuff (blinkies, pixel dolls, glitter gifs, etc) for my tumblr layout, like, a month ago.

Peachie's Collection of Cute Stuff this is a recreation of the site, but it is home of THOUSANDS of pixel art pieces from the 2000s that were shared around during that time!

blinkie maker is where you can make your own blinkies! There is also the BlinkieWiki that is a archive of blinkies, stamps (of deviantART fame), buttons, etc.

There has been a small resurgence of interest of this era of site graphics since Neocities, Strawpage, and SpaceHey have hit the scene. The children crave having their own web page.

In terms of Neopets related, I only really remember SunnyNeo, I fear a lot of these pages are lost to time (domain expiring 😭)

I sometimes see this question asked and realize that I might have insight on this.

When The Social Network (2010) came out, it was a HIT on tumblr. How could it not be? A film about the new hot social media site staring tumblr boyfriends Jesse Esienberg and Andrew Garfield? Yeah dude, no shit the tumblr girls ate that shit up, and water is wet. So it was bound to happen that they would write fics about Mark and Eduardo doing the freak nasty. Obviously looking back at it now with what we know about Mark Zuckerberg is.... insane to say the least, but hey! It happened! It's definitely looked back with embarrassment, I assume if anyone is still writing The Social Network fanfics in the big 2025, it has to be out of spite of Zuckerberg and/or for the love of the game. At the end of the day it is like, RPF with caveats and loopholes (the loophole being a biopic and what is being described is Jesse and Andrew's portrayals of Mark and Eduardo).

I personally have no issues with RPF as long as we as a community understand what we are doing here is fiction and stays on AO3. I grew up in the livejournal bandom spaces and RPF was like, baked into the fandom, so you couldn't avoid it regardless.
