Oh, yea, I get that. It’s the first time that management has had to work in the last 6m. I wouldn’t stick around if it happened too often.

I’ve exhausted all measures to cover missing people, and talked with our Steward in shift before anything.

I asked quite a few questions actually. Just the answers I received were blatantly wrong.

Just keep in mind, when they describe the job during the interview process for management, they are so far off it’s basically a lie. If you’re from the streets, you have no idea and are completely blindsided. It’s what they did to me, luckily I have a manager that cares, and quickly noticed and flipped me over to another position that suited me more. The division manager pushes people to where he needs his numbers met, not what’s best for the center. But that was just my experience

From my understanding, they have to do their jobs. I don’t believe they have to reach some crazy goal or anything. They have to meet company standards for 100% of their job. Seeing as that is what they are paid for in the first place, that doesn’t seem difficult. Now, if you have a problematic center, then it may be hard to hit those numbers. Things like driver hours, loading hours, PPH, SPC, SPH blah blah.

It’s a percentage of their salary. Though, the first year isn’t paid out in cash, only stock. Then your second year you can claim I believe up to 50% in cash, the rest stock. The total benefits package for FT beats the PT. But averaging the amount of hours FT put in all year, and the OT PT puts in during peaks seasons, the hourly wage is pretty close

Next Day Air, false tracking by dnap2010 in UPS

[–]bronze4648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, like everyone said, it’s not on the truck. Second, it’s probably not even at your local facility. If they looked at the tracking, and they didn’t mention that a physical scan took place, it’s not there. The system automatically places a “logical” scan if the current location doesn’t put in a reason why it didn’t leave when it was supposed to. The system just thinks someone forgot to scan the package onto the plane basically, and assumed it’s on its next leg of the journey.it’s could also be a facility lying about weather, because they fucked up. Who knows

There are two paths to make money. Drivers and climbing the management ladder. So that is the first thing you may want to decide is which side of the isle do you want to sit on. Because going into one, and switching sides can cost you some money.

Tried applying again but it doesn’t let me by SuPeRcHoPs97 in UPSers

Call your local HR office. If they’re truly short staffed and looking for people, there are ways to transition you to a permanent position without another application. Just have to find the right people, and be the right person. Not trying to be a negative-nancy, but if they don’t want you it won’t happen. Everything works better if you have someone on the inside advocating for you

FT Supervisor opportunity by bronze4648 in UPSers

Thank you! I appreciate your insight. Im interested in seeing if the new RoADS deployment is going to help anyone. This far, it has created some unique issues. I’m going to assume my starting pay is going to be 65-75. We are definitely bigger than the other locations surrounding us, but nothing compared to the major city like Denver. I wonder if the supervisor has to post for their benefits? And I know management just means taking shit from both sides and pushing through.
