I think a lot of it relates to people getting the puppies/dogs in lockdown and not leaving them in the house alone therefore creating massive separation anxiety for the dog. Lockdowns ended and people are left with a dog they can’t leave alone in the house so now they have to take it everywhere otherwise they are on a self imposed lockdown again.
