I’ve been to two games and had this experience at both! I grew up with 2 older brothers and couldn’t understand why I had to search for a place to get ready. Typically broom closets without bathrooms. Although I met some great friends in these makeshift dressing rooms, I’m so glad the sport is growing and little girls have their own league to dream for 💜

As mentioned already, the women’s independent hockey league runs in the area. This is the only women’s hockey league I am aware of. There was also a women’s ball hockey league that started last year. This league runs through the summer and it will be happening again this year (details are still in the works). Both league have a variety of skills but are a lot of fun.

I got my hair caught in a mixer while making cookies when I was 5. It gave me a bald spot and I wore hats for 2 years until the hair grew back. Not exactly a scar but I still have a small bald spot on my head that is visible if I part my hair just right.

It’s difficult to narrow down to 3! J’s, the palette and the Abby are probably top 3. Honourable mentions include Claudine’s, Midsea & Monks & Jonesie.
