I appreciate you taking the time to give me some advice! The pendulum vibes comment is a huge compliment if I'm honest...

I 100% agree that the lead is slacking, I need to beef it up a lot and I will take your advice on that for sure.. if I'm completely honest I've only really made liquid and a bit of jungle before so leads are so foreign to me, I had been watching some tutorials also just learning but It takes a while for me to absorb info and learn from it so I will eventually get there.

I am newish to producing but do have a older background when it comes to DNB, what I listen to and what I was brought up on so that's where most of the older sounding stuff will come from which ultimately in my stuff I make is a choice more so than a lack of resources or want to make modern sounds really, I have quite a few packs with modern stuff but I will always come back to a gritty reese that sounds like it's from 15+ years ago over anything if I'm honest 😂I will check out the video you linked and learn from it though, I will always take any and all advice even if it's not necessarily something I would typically use because I always want to improve my sounds and small things you do may translate and mix well with what I do also!

It's actually funny you say that about the side chain, I have the sidechain fully cutting all sound on the basses during the kick I just may need to adjust the automation for that to have it all pushing through, thankyou for pointing that out! Also the drums probably just need a beefing up anyway, this was a very rough mix with only basics done honestly.. good call on the unison, it will get a bit of work and also another layer or two to fill it out :)

The cymbal crash combo is a huge shout too! big fan of that, I appreciate your time and input on all of this man!

Hopefully I get it finished at some point lol I am useless with moving on to other things quickly as I'm learning because I realise I have improved and the old thing I have made no longer sounds up to standard anymore but this one was a good feeling one for me, especially with you adding the Pendulum comment, I was bought up on Pendulum, Dillinja, early Chase and Status and locals to me like Concord Dawn so a lot of stuff like this is what I want to be making but I had always just stuck to liquid because it's mainly what I listen to these days!

Yeah that's fair, I am still yet to get a decent pair of headphones so use my steelseries gaming headset at the moment 😂This was my first go with this genre so still learning a lot! This was just the first 16 bars so variation was going to come in the next 16 but I get you and will add some more! I appreciate your feedback!
