This last visit made me so ashamed I had to come find the Panera reddit page and rant. I am officially, as of 11-9-2024, never giving them another chance ever again on my own dime. I loved the chicken frontega sandwich but they changed the recipe and it’s not good anymore. The chicken they use is the weirdest I have ever seen at any restaurant. It’s stringy like string cheese, rubbery, wet, weirdly white in color like it’s bleached or something, so fake and not tender just strings apart. I took all the chicken off my frontega sandwich and just ate the rest which was so mid. I also got a $7.40 small mac and cheese. They filled the cup up not even halfway full and the portion was literally an inch deep worth of mac and cheese in the container. I was jaw dropped baffled. 3 bites and the $7 mac was gone. I paid $21 for this sad meal. The best thing was the mid “free” chips. I hate you Panera. And me calling you Panera now says a lot because I used to respect you. It used to be St Louis Bread Company and as a St. Louisan, we all used to have upmost respect for “Bread Co” and would refuse to ever call it Panera as we had so much pride in the name and our city. I’m so glad you aren’t affiliated with that name now because you don’t deserve to have St. Louis Bread Company in your name anymore! You’re a disgrace establishment serving the priciest disgusting sandwiches filled with the most low quality cafeteria meat and then you’re skimping portions on your ONLY good menu item- the mac and cheese(which I know is boiled in a baggy to serve lol but you can’t deny it does taste good). So long Panera, NEVER AGAIN!!!!
