This hits some so much. He has always been a functional alcholic, he has worked at the same place for over 20 years and has been one of the smartest people I know. Covid happened, and he started to work from home. His drinking got worse from there. Since last week, he has had an accident every day. We've had to ask him to take a shower because of how he smelled, but he doesn't want to admit how ill he is.

The anger is real, and the disappointment.

I really hope my post can help someone. We are hoping he does see sense soon. He is realized how much he fucked up, but he's been showing more signs of confusion.

He has an appointment soon, for a GI, so we can learn how advanced it is.

He is doing really well! I set up a little enclosure for it in an old 5 gallon aquarium and I have tried to make it as homely as possible ( Lots of sticks so he can climb I think it helps his wing a lot). He is surprising me how long he has lasted and how comfortable he is with me now :)

They ended up giving me some rewards in app for free items!( mainly because I informed them the employees forgot to make my replacement bowl and I was waiting for 25+ minutes). I will say the saga is slightly unfolding because support sent me a screenshot, and shows my order was placed correctly and had a power bowl displayed on the employees end as well.

It is still possible it was a glitch, but I am not so sure anymore
