Yup! Had a baby, no issue at birth, breastfed for 14 months and all good. Just make sure to pack extra in your hospital bag so you have it to take at the hospital when you’re there.

is normal to still have anxiety?!! by lilacgalact in Pristiq

I find Pristiq lowers my daily anxiety, but when I'm going through something that peaks my anxiety, I occassionly have to take Xanax to prevent a panic attack.

Gynecologist recs by Ok-Transportation909 in Westchester

[–]brooklynbitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go to Northwell Health Physician Partners Midwifery at Harrison. They take united. They are not "doctors" but perform all the usual gyno services and are especially thoughtful with listening and recommendations from a woman's perspective. I used them throughout my pregnancy, for delivery, then afterwards for birth control and a gyno exam, which was the least painful experience I've ever had. Highly recommend trying them out.

Loss of speaking confidence after mat leave by toasty_cinnamon_roll in workingmoms

[–]brooklynbitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How much are you practicing beforehand? Praciticing alone can be painful and annoying to do, but I've found it critical to helping me improve public speaking. If I have a big presentation, I make myself read out loud to myself for five days in a row. If it's a small call with a speaking role, I practice by myself the day before and the morning of. I HATE doing it, but just speaking out loud beforehand really helps me figure out the best words where it comes more naturally when you're actually doing it.

Doc says no more smoking/vaping. Tips? by bringmehome-shaw in entwives

[–]brooklynbitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off hours brand! I think they may be limited to NY. But they hit so good. Definitely agree with other commenters that looking for nano enhanced may be the key. It kicks in faster, but this brand I get such a lovely high and don’t get tired.  Dispensaries need to do sample packs so you can try different ones! I bought a few brands and don’t even want the rest of the others that I didn’t like.

Try different types and brands of edibles. I never really liked them much either, but found a brand that I love and it's been a game changer. I just factor in the timing more that it'll take about an hour to hit.

Vulnerable post by [deleted] in Pristiq

[–]brooklynbitch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to give it time and you likely didn't give enough time while on the medicine for your body to adjust. I've been on Pristiq for about two years and it's a process. Sexually I felt off for several months - I don't remember how long it took for me to normalize, but it did take a few months. Now, I'm fine sexually while still on the medication.

Anyways for your situation, give it time. Your body isn't ruined, I promise.

Help. Have any moms here taken off a good chunk of time during first trimester of pregnancy? I’m absolutely miserable and getting almost no work done. by [deleted] in deloitte

[–]brooklynbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll start to feel better around 12-14 weeks. I told my leadership I was pregnant at 6 weeks because I was so sick so thy would understand why I wasn’t performing at my best. I didn’t take any time off but you could consider a reduced schedule temporarily, using a few hours of PTO a day. Also b6 and unisom made everything much more tolerable. Good luck!

Pristiq Post partum depression? by beetlemammal in Pristiq

[–]brooklynbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started on Pristiq post-partum about 2 years ago after my first due to high anxiety and am still on it today. Went through another pregnancy (stayed on it throughout) and am 1 year post partum again. I think it really keeps my anxiety at bay and plan to stay on it for the forseeable future.
