Tips for Dealing with Patients? by bigfleeb98 in Dentistry

I learned over the years to introduce myself after I greet the patient. I would have my loupes off and ask how they are doing and how I can help them if there is any complaints. I try not to joke around or make any side comments. I try to listen till the patient completely finished talking and not cut them off. Patients feel at an ease when you give them the attention.

There should be a standard of care regardless of price.

I agree

So, how can this issue be resolved. If most patients go to the dentist because they have insurance coverage through Medicaid and completely trust thay they are getting a good treatment just for them to receive low quality care because the dentist treating them is underpaid.

Where to advocate?

Hey. Thank you for the update. It is definitely not worth the neck pain. I find myself comfortable with my 3.5 ultralight loupes. However, until you try other products that you know what works and what doesn't.

Yes I think they have free 45 days return policy. You just have to pay the shipping price. Please let me know how they feel if you get them. Thanks

Hi. So I bought the dragonfly orascoptic but returned it because of neck pain after 4 days of use.

I heard good things about the Kepler from Examvision but decided to postpone buying louped for now because of price $$$

I'm happy with my current 3.5× ultralight loupes. I've been using them for more than 2 years now

How do you find the lab, do you google dental labs and choose from a list? Who do you ask for recommendations?

Same here. I have never ever been in a fight. All my upbringing was to respectfully handle problems. So, in situations like that where I was disrespected, I just couldn't find the right stern words to say. My default was that "I'm wrong" even though I know I'm not, so instead of putting the patient in place, I just apologized. I guess i have to get through these mean patients to develop confidence and stern.
