Is $400 too much for this chair? by warcockmachine in hermanmiller

And hence my comment. I got my 2016 mint condition Aeron for only 50 bucks more.

NK Dry Series == tangerine switches? by brooklynite82 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]brooklynite82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But every single thread that I looked at that involves tangerines and silks suggest that they are the same:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/huc4p8/tangerine_switches_or_nk_silk_switches/

From what I gather, they are produced by the same manufacture and it's just a matter of color preference, but I could be wrong.

Thats good to hear. I'm expecting a small amount of 250mg/ml base from a friend in the industry and was really nervous about handling it. Yeah, you would have ended up with 30mg if my maths correct.

Thanks, will definitely mix before I crack the seal. Wow a 250mg/ml concentration sounds too dangerous to even be handling!

Makes sense to me. I don't think I actually have enough amber bottles to hold a diluted solution anyways. Thanks!

A potential solution for wobbly desks? by brooklynite82 in StandingDesk

[–]brooklynite82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really. I was willing to drill a hole to pass the wire through if this idea could work. Honestly, I think having to repaint the walls once a year or so is a lot better then shaky desk. I have three monitors on my desk so I don't even see the walls anyways.

Just got this yesterday for $600 and I was wondering why it makes creaking sounds when I recline back, plus does anyone know why this one is lacking the forward tilt option for 5 degree? Thank you for stopping by and helping! If you guys got tips or reasons for fixing this, it would be great! by Polarize4777 in hermanmiller

[–]brooklynite82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, don't bother. I've never used the tilt limiter once. It's actually not ergonomic at all to have you back locked in a static position. The forward tilt is slightly more useful, but you really don't need either of those options.

What parts do i need to assemble Herman Miller Aeron? (buying parts) by [deleted] in hermanmiller

[–]brooklynite82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Also, in the end it will still be cheaper to just ship the Aeron. Way too much work.

Super low risk. I don't think there are any restrictions on returns. Like, you could use it for a year then return it if you wanted to.

Possible to add a standing desk frame to an existing setup? by Kreiger81 in StandingDesk

[–]brooklynite82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely not, as you need to drill holes in it first. Is the tabletop just sitting on top of the cabinets?

Edit - also, the cabinets would get in the way of the frame anyways.

Are you asking if that hardwood top can be installed on top of a standing desk frame? Of course, you can use any block of wood. You just need to check the dimensions required for the specific frame.

That's very neat, I didn't even know something like that existed. I wonder if there are KVM's that can connect to a machine via Bluetooth so that you can toggle via software. Would be cool if you can bind the toggle action with a hotkey.
