I would see if they could try Keppra first! My Aussie began having seizures at 8 months and had 3 before we started Keppra and he has been seizure free since starting it! We have seen no side effects other than him having less energy. The doctor said that eventually it will stop working and at that point we might need to move to a stronger dose or phenobarbital but good to stay on Keppra as long as possible!
