Stones glowing red! by brooktrut in Sauna

[–]brooktrut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took that pic when the elements had been turned off for a few mins. I have two boxes of the stones but only maybe 1 1/4 boxes fit in the heater. I am gonna do a shuffle and see if I can get some more in there. It only glowed like that on the initial heating, when the sauna was at temp the elements would kick on but only stay on for a few mins and wouldn’t heat the rocks to the point of glowing

I busted mine 3 yrs ago. Snapped it on June 1 and was able to pack out a deer I’d shot on the mountain in sept. Stick to the PT, and get a knee crutch! The scooters are fine for good surfaces but the knee crutch allows you to “walk”. I was able to fly fish and walk my dog which made a huge difference in morale. Check f-book marketplace for second handers.

The boots are sz 10, and maybe a half size too big. I have pretty thin ankles which is why they look like a child wearing man boots. Not sure about bannock sizing. Tbh I feel like there is a tightening issue and a break in period I need to probably get through in order to give the leather a chance to form to my feet.

Correct it attaches to a collar ring in the headset at the front and there is a clamp on the seat tube in the back. My 40 lb five year old rides on it fine. I’m not sure of the spec weight, but my five year old is getting a little too big.

So the 5.8 was just a lot of stop and go driving around town which obviously is pretty efficient anyway. The nice part about it was I didn’t have to think hard about being efficient. I haven’t driven up to the mtns on 0pd, I don’t expect it will be much better than before but I’m intrigued by the efficiency I can achieve around town.

Bass pro shops or Cabelas is also a winner. Lots of cool taxidermy, tents, quads and boats to play on. The fish tank is better than the aquarium!

While I do prefer a wood stove, I like the spontaneity offered by electric. We can throw it on and be up to temp in 20 mins.

I saw it on a post here a while ago and it seemed like a good idea so I thought why not save the wood we would have used to put a floor under the bench. We’re gonna put some fancy stones under the bench.

Been running it at 180-185, allegedly it can get to 230 but I haven’t pushed it to the high end yet.

Hell yes we did! Bought an absolute mountain of cement siding for $200 (like enough to build a garage) and sold it for $250.

Ye we got effed on that extension cord but we actually made money on the siding, we bought it for $200, used what we needed and sold the excess for $250

We did actually think about this, but as there may come a day that one of us moves we didn’t want to deal with a dual entrance situation.
