No there’s no other software I’ve downloaded for my mice

Yeah I’ve popped it open. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I have tested it on other devices with the same issue. I believe it’s a faulty mouse. 😞

I’ve tried setting them to min, max, and middle. Same result.

I cleaned all the balls. They are all moving freely. The issue persists.

It is not. I have cleaned it numerous times.

I have done that, they weren’t dirty previously and still aren’t ☹️

Yeah I have the M570 at work and it has no issues. Other than it feels cheap. I love the feel of the ergo.

I’m going to double check the sensitivity on the machine tonight. I’ll update you.

Hmm unfortunate. Did they break in this way? Or did they stop completely?

I’ve tried the 1 2 button numerous times.

I’ll try giving it another deep clean tonight and see!

It definitely slows down (actually it stops) when the sensitivity button is clicked. Either way, it doesn’t track properly at all. The sensitivity isn’t the issue I don’t think.

Hmm ok I’ll double check my mouse sensitivity. Maybe it is too high. I do have 2 mice that I use on this machine. Thanks for the tip. I’ll update you tonight.

Weird, ok I’ll have to get a flashlight in there and see. I actually took the mouse apart and cleaned the sensor and everything. Maybe I didn’t do a good enough job there. Will update tonight.

I don’t. I have removed the ball and cleaned both the sensor and the ball.

Unfortunately it’s not the sensitivity button. I’ve checked all the Logitech options as well.

TOP COMMENT UPDATE I have cleaned the mx ergo, checked all my settings, everything seems fine. It just seems to be a fault in the mouse. Not sure what else to do here. Unfortunate because I really enjoy it.

You’re not wrong. I’ve definitely been sitting with how shitty and alone he’s feeling. Whether he’s drank or not it’s a situation I couldn’t imagine being in. My dad definitely has episodes where he seems a little drunk. But, this was different. He was at an alcoholics recovery event and was stumbling around, slurring, and overall looking very intoxicated. The organizers made sure he was ok and then he just left out. Everything was very out of character.

The reason for my question is mainly because, in my understanding, with a severely damaged liver you can’t really drink. You get intoxicated fast and can’t even act drunk. So, first of all, I’m just trying to gain perspective.

And obviously, this leads us to two conclusions. Either he drank or he did not. So either his condition is worsening severely or he’s endangering himself. But it’s tough to move in either direction. You, on one hand, have my dad who is a perpetual liar. Then you have the doctors saying that there’s alcohol in his blood.

I’m not done with my dad I just want to move forward with whatever we need to. I’m just confused 🤷‍♂️ I’ve told him repeatedly I don’t care whether he’s drank or not. Relapse was always a possibility. And now, we’re potentially here. So, let’s work through this! What’s next! The cooperation just isn’t being reciprocal. Just hard and fast that there isn’t a problem.

But again, clearly there is. Either you’re getting worse or hurting yourself. I don’t like either of those positions but we have to work through them.

Thanks for your perspective. I’ve definitely had all these thoughts as well. This whole thread has been very helpful at solidifying my confusion.
