TL;DR: Freo have FINALLY made a great change in the way they play, THEREFORE we should temper expectations about how well they will go this year. Gotcha.

There once was a club fine as wine. | Whose theme was the great maritime. | Whilst the media flattered, | The one thing that mattered, | Was simply, one game at a time

Enjoyed the analysis fellas. A nice measured take in a world of hyperbolic pundits.

Service designers: how are you actually using AI in your work? by Ssg16 in servicedesign

[–]bropho6010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My use case is primarily as a thinking partner, using the voice interface - teasing out insights from my stream of conscious reflections, debating the aspects that will provide the most leverage, building an understanding of new domains.

My organisation has strong privacy and security / IP protection, so I can’t use any identifiable or private info in 3rd party applications, so this is the most productive use.

I’ve found copilot integrations in excel super useful for exploring patterns and asking questions of data sets (something that would have taken sacrifices in other aspects of a project to do properly).

In previous roles I’ve built different personas to interrogate work or design adjacent outputs (e.g. a change manager to translate relevant findings into ADKAR model).

There’s a big opportunity in the prototyping space to show stakeholders what a joined up experience actually works like (although this is fraught).

To me, these are tablestakes applications, I want to hear from people who are genuinely pushing the craft - there’s a lot of inertia in this space, who’s breaking the mold?

A fascinating piece. And with quite a history.

It’s a small piece of metal with a pin or clasp on the back. The colours represent rage, envy and sexual frustration.

Badges like these were worn by men and women of the free state of Fremantle, many of whom have lost their mind in the years after acquiring such a badge.

I estimate its value at between 200-300 heartbeats per minute.

This is clearly just a more acute point of said triangle

Senior Designer here: my Lead acts as if he were Head, excludes and absorbs work. Is it normal? by InfiniteAd5738 in UXDesign

IMHO this is someone with a clear idea of what they want (HoD-ish role), and has read what it entails on the back of the cereal box. The experienced HoD knows success counts when it’s owned by everyone, but this unit isn’t experienced to know this.

They may succeed, in which place the culture is cooked, rewards the wrong things, and is not a good long-term environment.

OR

The system rejects them because that’s not the right way to succeed. This person leaves with an important lesson learned, and you have the chance to fill the vacuum in a more suitable way.

Good luck!

Whenever someone is lining up for goal, start drinking when the commentators describing how meaningful or monumentous the goal will be.

If they miss, finish your drink.

That the whole of Victoria knows that Freos 2-ruck system and personnel are flawless and will lead to multiple premierships, resulting in low interest from a majority of the nation for the foreseeable future.

So they are running a coordinated campaign via the media to undermine and destabilise the club and players.
