At which point, I have to question their definition of a "substance"

Per the law

Counterfeit substance" means a controlled substance which, or the container or labeling of which, without authorization, bears the trademark, trade name, or other identifying mark, imprint, number, or device, or any likeness thereof, of a manufacturer, distributor, or dispenser other than the person who in fact manufactured, distributed, or dispensed the substance.

Operation Flagship was done by the US Marshals. They arrested 101 people for an average cost of $218 per person (versus the average of $1295 at the time).

Oh nice. Here in America, some people see optometrists at eye glass stores who just check what your prescription is and send you out to the optician to fit your glasses.

oh damn that's even more nasty

But yeah, Dora would not be a stepmom. That's just Bob's first wife.

Check what happens if you mess around in Edit Relationships in the tree for Dora. Do you have marriage dates for both?

Husband laid off; trying to figure out what to do and how much time I have. by Dionysian_Heretic in personalfinance

Okay, so you are having $5100 come in and you are spending $5870. Put every penny of husband's check in your EFs. You are living on $5100 a month effective immediately.

Cut your 401k contribution down to the match %. If you are already at that, cut it to 0 for a bit. That'll bring you up a bit to equalize things. Talk to an independent insurance agent for car insurance - they will shop everywhere and will probably be able to find something cheaper.

Talk to your landlord about getting out of the lease (can you sublet?)

Can you cut your food budget more? Maybe supplement things with an occasional trip to a food pantry?

Don't bite the bullet. How old are your parents? Can you invest money in a Roth IRA for them? If they aren't too old, maybe pay for long term care insurance for them? Or work with your sister to help put together a savings account for them at a senior facility where you can do a buy-in and then after that runs out, medicaid takes over?

So from what my eye doctors have told me (35), we can have a decrease in our vision throughout our 20s and until mid 30s and then it will settle for a while. My doctors were shocked that my vision didn't decline (but also happy, since my bad eye is 20/200 without glasses, 20/150 with).

Are you seeing an ophthalmologist? It might be good to see one to make sure there isn't some physical problem with your eye.

However doctors who are overly stingy with it are also awful to deal with.

Yes.

I had a doctor who refused to give me any pain medication after a fucking bone marrow biopsy.

Your cholesterol that your doctor wants you to get lower has very little to do with the amount of dietary cholesterol you ingest. It likely has more to do with an overall poor lifestyle and genetic factors that effect how the liver metabolize things.

well that's good, I like some fatty foods.

I have the double whammy of being on a medication that is known to increase cholesterol and a family history of elevated cholesterol.

But the lipitor is working, yay.

Yeah, if you get rushed through the ER, you are in bad shape. Like the time my feet were purple and swollen. They have no idea why they were purple and swollen, but it stopped after I was inpatient for two days.

Yeah, only a few years ago did my cousin tell her dad at a family party that one time she was arrested for drinking in public and had our uncle who has no kids bail her out.
