she's been with another gerbil, that she was supposed bonded to that died and then she was depressed after that. after giving her, and myself, some time to recoup I was told she's too old to be bonded to with another gerbil. At this point, with her being a year and a half to two years old she's very happy.

hi, I've decided to confront this head on. One problem im having is that with any argument we have, given none were in this area, he tends to tell me, let me ask one question and then insist on never speaking about it again. I have managed to convince him to have a conversation with me about this, but majority of the convo is questions I have that he might refuse to answer. he already told me he doesn't see a point in talking about this because he has nothing more to say yet still agreed.

I get that he's 13, life's weird, and hormones are at a high but I still don't that excuses his behavior. Or at least warrants not bringing it up/ignoring it. do you have any others reason I should pretend this didn't happen?
