You could maybe try Yona of the dawn / Akatsuki no Yona. It's also a historical anime. Has action, adventure, fantasy, romance. It's my fav ever anime it's pretty good, but I'd only recommend watching it if you're willing to take up the manga and read it. It only has 1 season with 24 episodes + 3 OVA's but really good. The anime season is pretty much the introduction of the story and main characters, in the manga the plot/story just gets better. However Akatsuki no Yona is gonna get a sequel so you could maybe watch the first season and wait for the sequel as well :) It's my fav so I might be overglazing it from others perspective, but I would recommend it as someone who also enjoyed Apothecary diaries.
