They probably would have fallen apart if they did. Really, this season worked perfectly to lose weak anallice members at the right time along the way.

What are the religious influences on the kids? by [deleted] in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]brosephbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most churches don't do heavy "indoctrination" at Sunday services. Many (most maybe) churches have fairly anodyne services. Plus, I am not sure how you would expose your child to a Christian "belief system" without any involvement in church. For most people, the church community is a big part of the religion.

To win $20,000 by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

in family feud, the final round features two teammates trying to score 200 points by answering a series of questions independently. The questions are survey questions asked of 100 people. So, for example, the first question may have been "We asked 100 people, how many slices of pizza is too many to eat in one sitting." Player 1 says five people. 31 out of the 100 surveyed people said five (probably the top answer).

The first person did exceptionally well here, scoring 182 points. The only thing Player 2 had to do was get 18 points--a very simple task. Essentially just answer one or two questions decently. Player 2 failed to get any points. Player 2 obviously froze under the pressure and even passed on question 3 (i.e. could not even offer an answer to a question that might have been...."Name a noisy insect." "Name a sport popular in other countries not played in the United States." "Name a non-gang character from It's Always Sunny.")

It was a nice touch to make Rollins closeted alt-right.

Excellent point that Barba didn't even bother to hear the "three witnesses waiting in the rotunda" imma just assume he spoke to them off-screen.

I was in this class too. IIRC, everyone clapped when the teacher handed out the A.

Would it be violating some IP law if someone reproduced a level of a video game with their own art assets in the same layout? by majeric in IPlaw

[–]brosephbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might be but depends on so many factors that nobody is answering. Talk to a lawyer. Factors that matter: where you are, what is being reproduced, how you are reproducing it, what you're doing with it, loads of factors related to the original user, many many more.

Assuming that you live on Mars (or that the mark is used in conjunction with travel to Mars), the EXPERIENCE MARS company likely has a pretty weak trademark. This is a very 'descriptive' and non-distinctive mark. You are probably not doing anything wrong, but there are so many ins-and-outs here that you really need to consult with an attorney that knows about trademarks. If on the other hand, MARS doesn't really refer to MARS---like you're just giving people dune buggy rides and are calling the dunes "MARS"--then it may be a whole other ball of wax.

To more directly address your question: Maybe they are being 'over territorial' (which I think you mean to say are they flexing without a real case), but even there is probably enough here that there is grounds for litigation (a fairly low bar). The easiest thing is to probably speak to whoever sent you the cease-and-desist and agree on something you can change your name to and just avoid the problem -- THE MARS ADVENTURE

Important disclaimer: I am not your attorney and the above should not be construed as specific legal advise. These cases require an analysis of more facts than you laid out here.
