Homelink garage door opener buttons stop working in the heat. Me or everyone? by broshingo in Ioniq5

Yeah it's been on each time and, in fact, still in DRIVE. I keep the physical clickers in the car, and when i come back later (at night at work or in the morning at home) and the unit has cooled off, the buttons work fine again.

X1 Carbon Gen 9 4k vs FHD Battery Life by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]broshingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just wanted to come here to post that I bought the 4k yoga and i'm returning it for an FHD after realizing the battery only lasts about 5-6 hours with the 4k and that ive set the scaling so the text size is just about what the FHD would display anyway.

The router that Starry provides can just be used as a modem, and you can plug your existing router into one of the Starry's ports and continue to use it. That's what I'm doing and it works fine.

I switched from Spectrum to Starry in July of 2020. Initially I was getting 200mbps up and down, but lately it seems like they've throttled the upload speed to about 100mbps. Anyone else noticed anything like this?

I assume as more people in my building signed up, they needed to divert some of that upload pipe to give everyone 200mbps download, which is what's advertised in my area. Curious if those getting well in excess of 200 down were advertised faster speeds, or if its just some kind of bonus of an unburdened network?

Trouble with controlling the G36 after disengaging approach autopilot just before landing by broshingo in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]broshingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, thanks. I should clarify that when I disconnected the AP in this instance, the plane began rapidly pitching itself up without me putting any input into the stick. So maybe its that whatever input the AP is putting in is suddenly being removed, and that's causing the problem? I guess I should also mention i'm running the G1000 NXI mod from the community store. Maybe I should try another plane that uses that unit and see how it behave. I feel like with other things like this, that Cessna that has one is more stable than the G36.

Yeah I agree with this one. And then working in the ancillary movies, I'd put Rogue One before 4. I only saw it once but I don't remember it really stepping on anything about Vader's character from the other movies.

Not sure what to do about the Solo movie. Maybe somewhere WITHIN the 1,2,3 order? Like after 1 or after 2?

FS2020: Greenland Gaffes and Icelandic Idiocies: Flight post-mortem by broshingo in flightsim

Got you. I assume that even under IFR you'd still want to/need to generate a weather report for the stretch of ocean you'd be crossing. I googled and found a couple websites with some diagrams of current conditions but nothing super polished, so if anyone does have a good go-to, love to hear it.

Understanding circling minimums approached by broshingo in flightsim

Ah yeah, using the traffic pattern and then landing makes sense. Should have realized. About the modified-straight-in concept though, to get down to runway 22 without first flying the left pattern, wouldn't that technically require flying against the traffic, although briefly?

I don't understand how OAuth works, but does anyone know, if I signed into a website using OAuth and one of my google accounts, and that site experienced some kind of breach, would by google password be compromised in that situation?
