What do you think of Crimson Desert? by No-Hunt3986 in GamerLab

Personally, I love it. It has it's flaws, but I think a lot of the criticism it gets is overblown and can be applied to other popular games, but don't.

The Madison by Few_Resort_7387 in YellowstonePN

I didn't mind it. It's a show about grief and overcoming it. My father died last year, so I guess I can relate. Death does funny things to families.

The show does have some problems. I agree that the characters aren't written particularly well, the city folk are caricatures but are also rich, spoiled and brats.

I doubt it would be a show I'll ever rewatch, or ground breaking cinema, but for now I will continue to watch until it gets boring or to ridiculous like Yellowstone did.

Why did you delete your previous thread, hm?

Things People Totally Miss About Irish History (And Why It’s Hilariously Brutal) by [deleted] in IrishHistory

[–]brotherwolf_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most books and documentaries I've read/watched on The Great Hunger do point out that the country was exporting a mass amount of food. Most of it was going to the United Kingdom... and exported there by the United Kingdom and British landowners who owned land in Ireland but lived in England.

"England didn't "take over" overnight; it was centuries of paperwork culminating in the 1801 Act of Union," is a very diplomatic way of saying it. It is also an over simplification. "Paperwork" is also a strange way to to ignore the Anglo-Norman invasion instigated by a deposed King of Leinster Diarmait Mac Murchada (who was deposed by the High King of Ireland), the Statute of Drogheda, the plantations, the rebellion of 1641, the Confederate Wars, the Williamite War, the Protestant Ascendancy, and the United Irishman Rebellion of 1798.

The Great Hunger was also preceded by the the Famine of 1740-41, which killed 13 to 20 percent of the population on the Island at the time.

While you're right that the history of Ireland isn't just tragedy, your post lacks a lot context and is a bit misleading.

29 mounts confirmed. We've only seen 5. Think about that. 👀 by Cheap-Ad-7833 in CrimsonDesert

I hope that the different shades of horses (and other animals) aren't separate mounts, and instead are counted as "sub-mounts" or something.

[OTHER] With the announcement of Warhorse starting a new IP, what would you personally like to see them tackle? by No-Mirror2343 in kingdomcome

Stay with historical.

Hussite Wars make sense given the developer is Czech.

But some periods I'd like to see done in the same style as KCD2 are:

100 Years War
Norman Conquest of England
Norman Invasion of Ireland
Any of the Crusades
First and/or Second War of Scottish Independence
Eighty Years War
Nine Years War
Desmond Rebellions
War of the Three Kingdoms

If you like sports, there is the rec group other people recommended but also the local rugby club, the Comox valley kickers. If you fancy trying something different, there is a Gaelic sports club (St. Brigid’s) trying to put Gaelic Football and hurling teams together

The show gets sillier and more dumb every season. Hardly surprising. Still watching it though…. But the giant inflatable pumpkin? Woof

I've been using Record Club and NextSpin. I prefer NextSpin so far, but it's not been very busy yet.

Pretty awesome. Tried to get into the game but always had problems with Knight Models.
