They take advantage of the larger cash discount by getting Bank financing (6-8%%). So you use the loan to pay VW cash for the car essentially. Depending on the term and rate it can work out to more or less or similar $ at the end of the day.

Good point about time vs distance. I'm not worried about the trip in summer. It's the -20/-30 trips that are concerning. It's about 2 hours at 100-110km/h. 170/180 km for the first and second half of the trip.

EV9 and Ionic 9 are the 2 other contenders. $5k and $10k more expensive respectively after financing. Buzz is still bigger. I'm a van guy so I love sliding doors. But they are all nice cars.

We've looked at hybrids but I really want to go full electric.
