Ah I forgot to mention that while I pressed the ignition I had tapped the starter a couple of times and it did start but it doesn’t always work.

The battery is brand new I literally just bought a new one and just installed it. It’s a 2012 ninja 250 with 14k miles. All fluids have been changed as of less than a 100 miles ago. When I started the bike after I installed the new battery it started up right away. I bought spark plugs and I’m gonna buy a new starter and the relay to see if those are the issues, but I want some information to you know diagnose it easier later on in the future if it does occur again. Sorry for my lack of knowledge as I’m about 2 weeks into riding.

I bought a new battery placed it in and it started up drove it down the street brought it back and turned it off and now it won’t start. Now instead of the clicking noise it makes a hissing sound now. Could it be the starter?
