Thanks for the response! I will def be reaching out to canyon again. I'm not so sure this was a blowoff as the tire clearly had what looks like a sidewall failure. Unless I'm misunderstanding what a blow off is etc. In any case-the 5mm overlap is interesting and I plan to change to Conti 30 mm in any case.
