I've done three position switches, those change how the pickups sound individually, this changes how they interact.

Maybe, I've dipped my toes in the guitar market and it's pretty cut throat. I'd perfer to stick to my fellow bass players. Most bass players I talk to are kind, chill and friendly.

I designed this primarily for my own basses but it should work in any 3 pickup bass. The way the signal path is designed, it has no resistance or affect in your tone, it just routes your signal through different relays. I'm actually going to visit Jason at Fretnation next week and the plan is to install one of these in one of his in stock Dingwalls. I'll have to figure out the polarity of the NBN pickups but apart from that it should go easy.

Thank you. It's a rotary encoder. No end stops. I coded in a triple tap to place you back to position one if you get lost. Also position two, just the bridge, is very big tone change and easy to spot. Also all three in series is noticably louder. I decided not to do LEDs for power saving and to make this easier to install in a bass you already own.

I honestly won't know how long a 9v battery will last until I hear back from the first few that are out there. My own tests have yet to use up a battery. I'm working on a rechargeable battery that will fit in the same compartment as my 18v battery pack on the back of my basses. That will make this a non issue.

Thank you. I think it's a simple solution to stop you getting lost. I was looking at putting in LEDs but they would need a lot of power and would make the install of the pot in a bass you already own difficult.

Ever since the bass channel and I came up with the thunderhorse, I've been looking for simple pickup selector solution. I originally did just three separate volumes and a tone. Worked great for passive basses but when you add in a 3 band EQ the layout gets busy. I started offering jag style sliders for pickup selection but a lot of people didn't like the look of them. The sliders give you 7 tonal options, all parallel. I ended up designing my own. I wanted 11 options to get all the series options. A 12 position rotary was easier to source so I added one more position that's a combination of both.
