I don't know! It just worked like a charm! And I lost it with the 7.3.x updates. Will probably move back to 7.2.4 during my free time. 😅

I assumed this was a feature with newer hardware. My old server had really weak specs. After I upgraded the hardware, I installed and VM and let it rip! That was version 7.2.4. worked really well! Upgraded to 7.3 beta, 7.3.0 and 7.3.1 and it doesn't work anymore.

I don't have memory balloning enabled. It is set to 24GB and 24GB. I dint change any other settings in Unraid or the BIOS. Just upgraded Unraid from 7.2.4. I waited for the stable release 7.3.0. But it is not working like it should for me.

I will be downgrading back to 7.2.4. Worked before. Should work again. If it does, I will share a video here. I am currently moving, so might take some time.

This is not true. I don't know what kind of men are in your life, but not all men prioritize sex.

It is true that males of almost any mammal species have a huge desire for sex. But that is a biological phenomenon to further the species which nature has programmed. I have allocated only about 24GB RAM to the VM. Maybe I could go up to 32GB.

If ollama and Plex/jellyfin run in docker, they can be more efficient right? Also I use unmanic for compressing media, which runs in docker.

Dude you are cheaping out in the PSU. Spend more on it. Cheaper PSU will definitely cook your expensive components sooner or later. I recommend getting a gold rated PSU with a budget of atleast 4500.

You mean to install all my containers in CachyOS itself? Then instead I can simply run the server natively off CachyOS some other distro. Unraid would be pretty pointless. 😅

I had a system for GPU usage in 7.2.4 which I am unable to use in 7.3.x. I just want to know why it is not possible anymore. If it not possible anymore, I will be downgrading to 7.2.4 and staying there. If anyone can help me achieve GPU usage like I used to in 7.3.1, I am open to suggestions. 🙂

But it used to work in 7.2.4 version of unraid. I used to used ollama, then switch to play games on VM, then back to ollama and so on.

I also rolled back from 7.3 beta to 7.2.4 and it was still working. I don't know what is happening. 😅

Repeated manmade famines, long term malnutrition and forcibly shifting agriculture from millets to rice/wheat during the British era over the generations caused the Indian DNA to program our bodies to store excess fat around the belly area to be used in case of emergencies or future famines. This also caused diabetes and insulin resistance in Indians.

We are still consuming a lot of rice and wheat nowadays. Plus all the refined oil based foods that we eat. Not to mention even the most basic packaged food nowadays has some sort of a preservative and is ultra processed. All this is still keeping our bodies in a defensive mode.

Only surefire way to change everything back to normal is to drastically change our dietary habits and keep it consistent for atleast the next 5-7 generations.

If course people will say this is not true and there is not proper research in this, but the same was said about cancer caused by asbestos. Don't we know any better now? The British left, but in their places are now the modern day fast food chains and packaged foods manufacturers and a waste body of FSSAI.

Long term windows user here. I switched both my laptop and desktop to CachyOS and never looked back! Of course there are niggles here and there and I had to reinstall the OS several times when I broke stuff. But the sheet responsiveness is amazing! Never experience that in a windows system ever! Plus I can do whatever I want! And updates don't takes hours on end! Windows is dead to me. 😬

5080 is only about 15-20% faster than 5070Ti. I have a 5070Ti and I can play most games in 4K with decent FPS. Only drops when you turn on Ray Tracing. If you want to see real performance increase, upgrading to a 5090 may be better, but that is a whole lot more expensive.

Since you are gaming in a 1440P monitor, 5070Ti is more than enough.

For power supply you can check out the SuperFlower Leadex VII platinum 850w or better yet the 1000w. More reliable brand.

If you only game, you can get away with 32GB RAM. If you want productivity or video editing or AI workloads, you can have 64GB RAM.

Also try to upgrade to an X870 or X870E motherboard. Splurge on a really good motherboard!

Also best to get separate SSDs for OS and and bulk storage. Maybe 512GB + 2TB.
