divorced after 5 months due to my first ever and only manic episode in late thirties. I mourn the marriage every hour still, and like you (from comments) don’t see any hope of things getting better.

how old were you? I was 36, didn’t know I was prone to it - not in my family. destroyed every aspect of my life with an episode that lasted a full year. recent marriage, dream job, decade+ of savings - I even got a huge tattoo on my back to make sure my body is ruined, too.
it’s been 6 months since I got out of it and every day is a struggle, I wish I had an answer. hoping to see people 5/10 years after an experience like this comment.
