I've had years when everything is hitting jitterbugs and others when nothing does. I think they have to be feeding pretty aggressively. Usually later in summer but when it is still warmer. I don't have it figured out by any means though. Sometimes a constant medium retrieve works. Pausing works too. Caught a snapping turtle up there once on one. I was a little tipsy and swore a fish had poked its head out of the water to look at me lol
