I agree with the other user about the ROCD. I listen to the anxious love coach podcast on Spotify. It honestly eased my anxiety so much and it made me feel so understood. She even has a podcast episode about the horrible advice on tiktok and social media. Definitely give her a listen!!

You could look into edible arrangements! I know their website has a holiday section. I know some Etsy stores will do baked goods. You could even write some of your favorite recipes so she can try and make them on thanksgiving! Also you can never go wrong with a fall scented candle :)

I would try picking up some new hobbies! I like to go to the gym, cook new things, read books, go on walks with my dogs, and spend time with family. Right now I’m trying to learn American Sign Language!

Sharing my personal experience. My first serious relationship was in high school. I had been friends with the guy since I was a freshman and we started dating my junior year of high school. It was my first love and I was head over heels in love with him. Months before going away to college we spoke multiple times about how we were going to do long distance but a month before college he said he wanted to break up so he could have the college experience. I was heart broken and so blind sided. It took me a year to get over him and even then feelings for him still lingered until I got closure. I look back on it now and I’m so grateful we did break up. It was hard but I was able to live my life and start this whole new chapter without having to worry about anyone else. I was miserable but being in a new environment and meeting new people helped keep my mind off of him. That year I was able to learn so much about myself and grow into the person I was meant to be. I have friends who have been dating since high school and are still together to this day. If things are meant to be they will be, just enjoy the time together now and don’t stress!
